Left Bank's Free Saturday on September 19 hands Space One to Trigger for a themed session billed as the Hawaiian Edition, the punk four-piece trading their usual raw, high-energy live show for a night behind the decks instead. Selectors fill the rest of the room before midnight sends the crowd to Outdoors. Giorgi Pipia and Third Soul share back-to-back, a practice built on searching across cultural lines, meeting the 3 Suli co-founder's own reach into the same format. Yòp and Jenst close things out, both from the Netherlands. Drums are Yòp's background, and his sets carry that through, percussive and stripped-down, moving from early electronics into US house and techno, with an RRFM residency for the slower material. Jenst brings a more studied, exacting style, precise in a way that still leaves room for fun.
